Michigan State University’s Institute for Cyber-Enabled Research (ICER) is excited to announce the Fall-2025 R on the High-Performance Computing Center (HPCC) webinar. This non-credit, training webinar is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the tools for using R for research computing on ICER’s HPCC.*

The prerequisites for meaningful participation in the hands-on exercises are listed below.

  • Active ICER HPCC account
  • Basic understanding of the HPCC resource environment and the SLURM scheduler
  • Basic competency with R and GNU/Linux Operating Systems

 

The learning objectives for this training are listed below.

  • Understand R modules on the HPCC
  • Understand R user environments on the HPCC
  • Use the OnDemand web portal to launch an R-Studio Session on the HPCC
  • Use R packages to parallelize processes
