Training Webinar: R for the HPCC
Michigan State University’s Institute for Cyber-Enabled Research (ICER) is hosting the Spring 2025 R for the High-Performance Computing Center (HPCC) workshop. This non-credit training webinar is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to using R for high-performance research computing with ICER’s HPCC.
Participants need an active HPCC account to access the HPCC. If you do NOT have an existing account, please see our documentation on Obtaining an HPCC Account.

Prerequisites
- Existing MSU ICER HPCC account
- Basic understanding of SLURM, ICER HPCC environment
- Basic competency with R and Linux
Learning Objectives
- Understand the R module system on the HPCC
- Understand R environments
- Use OnDemand to launch R-Studio on the HPCC
- Use R packages to parallelize processes
