Reminder for Users Transferring Data from Google Drive to the HPCC

For ICER users impacted by the upcoming Google Drive storage limits announced by MSU IT, please be mindful if you choose to move data from Google Drive to the HPCC. Your scratch space can be used to stage data you want to move, but remember that scratch space has a purge policy. Files that have not changed for 45 days in a scratch space will be automatically deleted.

A user’s home and research spaces are not subject to the purge policy. Review ICER’s documentation, Guidelines for Choosing File Storage and I/O, to ensure you are aware of the benefits and limitations of each storage option.
