New NVIDIA Grace Nodes Available for All ICER Users
ICER has opened up the recently added NVIDIA Grace nodes to all users of the HPCC. These new nodes include the Grace Hopper Superchip, which can accelerate common GPU workflows like machine learning, generative AI, molecular dynamics, and fluid dynamics.
Due to their unique architecture, the Grace nodes are substantially different from other nodes in the HPCC. Users should be aware that these nodes are still in beta, and making effective use of them will require modifications to existing workflows. Additionally, many of these nodes are managed as "buy-in" nodes to provide priority access to particular research groups, so members outside of those groups will have limitations on the jobs they can run.
For an overview, please see our documentation on Getting started with the Grace Hopper and Grace Grace.
