Sign up to be a mentor for the Summer 2023 ACRES REU
Dear Colleagues,
The Advanced Computational Research Experience for Students (ACRES) REU is looking for mentors for its Summer 2023 cohort! ACRES is an interdisciplinary computational and data science REU that takes place every summer on MSU’s campus. This is a highly competitive program with participants coming from all around the country, and many of those students return to MSU as graduate students. This is also an excellent mentoring opportunity for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers who are interested in jointly supervising a project with a faculty member.
If you are interested in learning more about ACRES, please visit the program websiteor watch ICER’s video introducing the REU to prospective participants. To apply to be a mentor, please fill out the form at https://forms.gle/AFUw9wkJyeQsQGkw7 and propose a project. Mentor/project applications will be accepted through Friday, October 28th, and we will notify applicants of the outcome approximately a week later. If you have any questions, please contact the ACRES PI, Brian O’Shea, at oshea@msu.edu.
Regards,
Brian O’Shea, on behalf of the ACRES organizers (Danny Caballero, Mahmoud Parvizi, Emily Bolger, and Elena Wang)
