The prerequisites needed for this course are listed below.
- Existing MSU ICER HPCC account
- Basic competency with R
- Basic understanding of the ICER HPCC environment, Linux and SLURM
The learning objectives for this course are listed below.
- Understand the R module system on the HPCC
- Use the command line to generate and execute R scripts
- Use SLURM to submit R scripts and workflows to the HPCC compute cluster
- Use the OnDemand web portal to launch RStudio on the HPCC
- Use the doParallel and pbdMPI packages to parallelize with R
*** Attendees are required to bring a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop to the workshop ***
