This is a hands-on introductory workshop on using MSU’s High Performance Computing Center (HPCC).

Learn how to access computational resources at MSU's High Performance Computing Center (HPCC). Participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of computational resources available at MSU

  • Understand the different ways (Xterm, ssh, RDP) of connecting to the HPCC

  • Be able to execute commands interactively on the HPCC

  • Be able to open and use GUI programs on the HPCC

  • Be able to interact with the scheduler to submit jobs and check job status

  • Be able to upload and download files from the HPCC

  • Understand how to use HPCC data storage effectively for computation

  • Understand how to request assistance
