This is a hands-on introductory workshop on using MSU’s High Performance Computing Center (HPCC).
REGISTRATION CLOSED
Workshops with fewer than 8 registrants will be canceled one week before scheduled date.
Note: Registrants will receive a confirmation email a few days before the workshop with webinar connection details and HPCC setup instructions. Setup instructions will not be covered during the workshop. These must be completed BEFORE the workshop.
Cost: FREELearn how to access computational resources at MSU's High Performance Computing Center (HPCC). Participants will:

Gain an understanding of computational resources available at MSU

Understand the different ways (Xterm, ssh, RDP) of connecting to the HPCC

Be able to execute commands interactively on the HPCC
-
Be able to open and use GUI programs on the HPCC
-
Be able to interact with the scheduler to submit jobs and check job status
-
Be able to upload and download files from the HPCC
-
Understand how to use HPCC data storage effectively for computation
-
Understand how to request assistance
